Sometimes I discuss spiritual topics on my blog, as spiritual nourishment is every bit as important as physical nourishment, if not more so.

I try to make my spiritual posts valuable to everyone, regardless of belief system, religion or faith, but I won’t make them too generic. I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have a testimony of Jesus Christ and His Gospel, and it does come through in my writing. Please know that I respect your own beliefs and don’t expect you share mine, but I hope you will find value in these posts.

I also refer to the Word of Wisdom occasionally. In my faith we believe the Lord has given us counsel as to what we should or shouldn’t be putting into our bodies. One of the reasons I am so drawn to traditional foods and Weston Price is because it meshes so well with the Word of Wisdom, proscribing things like alcohol, coffee, tea and tobacco, and prescribing natural foods such as fruit, vegetables, grains and meat. I also find Biblical references of food to be interesting and may mention them here and there as a matter of interest.

  1. I was so glad to find this!! I’m Mormon too and my cousin was telling me about kombucha and all the health benefits. Was disappointed when she said it was made out of tea… I didn’t know you could make it out of roobois or the red rasberry leaf Thank you!!
